his illustration was done for the Microsoft Press book, “Understanding Windows 2000 Distributed Services”. This illustration shows something very sophisticated, that I don't really understand, but it has to do with using Kerberos for security, and the use of private keys and session tickets. This book was not fun to work on at all, the author was a first rate ***hole.
