his illustration was done for the Microsoft Press book, “Digital Scanning and Photography”. It is a component diagram of a flatbed scanner with all the salient parts clearly labeled. The illustration was created in Freehand, and then post processed in Photoshop to give it both a textured effect and a design specific duotone for the continuous tone portions of the illustration, then it was brought back into Freehand for final export.
